As a grass roots organizations, the Thornton Veterans Memorial Foundation is solely dependent on the contributions of the community. This very important project cannot come to fruition without the help of people and organizations. We welcome any type of assistance anyone can provide.
Some specific ways in which you could help include:
Donate to the Foundation. As a non-profit organization, this memorial cannot be constructed without the financial contributions of people and organizations in the community. Click here for more information on how to contribute.
Donate your time. We welcome the public at all of our meetings. The Foundation meets twice monthly on the 1st Monday of every month at 7:00pm in the Administrative Conference Room at the Thornton Civic Center. Click here for directions. Meetings are informal opportunities to discuss ideas on the project, report on progress of various issues, and plan future activities. We welcome your input! We also oftentimes have the need for people to man booths and tables at various public functions and community events to help spread the word. Spread the word! Let your friends, family and co-workers know about this project! We are hugely dependent on community support!
Email your suggestions. Any suggestions those in the community might have are welcome. Please feel free to contact us here with your ideas.
Donate goods and services to the Foundation and memorial. Currently the Foundation relies on its membership and contributing organizations for the services needed to get the memorial project going. As time goes on, we will need more help in a number of areas. Current and future needs include but are not limited to:
- Products and services to be auctioned or sold by the Foundation for fundraising
- Paper services such as copying, printing, signage and other related services
- Legal advice and services
- Architectural assistance and planning
- Promotional merchandising services and products
- Construction related services
