Red Star Thornton Veterans Memorial Email Newsletter - December 13, 2007

With the holiday season upon us, we wanted to thank each and every one of you for your support as we work to make this very important memorial a reality for our veterans.  With the ongoing war, many heroes have been lost to us this year and hundreds of thousands servicemen and women will spend their holidays overseas and away from home.   We ask each of you to please take a moment out of the hustle and bustle of the season to remember our veterans and most importantly, take the time to think of those who won’t be home with their loved ones this year.

We wish you the very best for this holiday season and thank you again for your support!

We have a few special notes we wanted to make everyone aware of:

cid:image003.gif@01C78251.EA630BF0  Looking for a special gift for that veteran or supporter of veterans?  At our online store you can purchase a wide array of Thornton Veterans Memorial related merchandise.  For something truly unique, we recommend purchasing a paver brick engraved with the name of a veteran or engraved with a message to our veterans.  These paver bricks will be laid in the walkways through the memorial and will offer an enduring message of support and thanks to our heroes.  If you order soon, we will ensure you receive a Certificate of Appreciation with your brick order that you can give to the recipient thanking them for their contribution.  Please help us make the memorial a reality by visiting our online store at:  http://www.thorntonveteransmemorial.org/store/

cid:image003.gif@01C78251.EA630BF0  Please remember the Thornton Veterans Memorial when planning your end of year giving.  With the help of local citizens, civic organizations and area businesses, the construction of this memorial will be a testament to the men and women of the past, present and future that have fought and continue to fight for the freedoms which we all enjoy. Because the memorial project will be privately funded, construction is entirely dependent upon our fund raising efforts. As such we ask you to participate in the veterans memorial project by making a tax deductible contribution to the Foundation in support of the construction of the memorial.  You can send your contribution to the address below or even donate online safely and securely using a credit card here:  http://www.thorntonveteransmemorial.org/help/donate.html
